This policy explains how Matchwork uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.

Template — pending legal review. This is standard boilerplate provided for the beta so the platform is usable end-to-end. It is not yet a substitute for tailored legal advice and will be replaced with solicitor-approved copy before paid launch.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying signed in) and help keep the service secure. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for the same purposes.

2. How we use cookies

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use:

Strictly necessary cookies — required to sign you in, keep your session secure, and operate core features. The platform does not work without these, so they are always on.
Preference cookies — to remember basic choices you make, where applicable.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell data collected via cookies.

3. Analytics

Any product analytics we run are privacy-respecting and used only to understand and improve how the platform is used. Where analytics rely on non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first.

4. Third-party cookies

If you proceed to payment, our payment processor (Stripe) handles that step on its own secure pages and may set cookies there under its own policy — we do not set those cookies on this site. We use no advertising or analytics cookies of our own.

5. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and withdraw consent to any non-essential cookies at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop you from signing in or using parts of the service.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy as the platform evolves. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
